Full speed ahead!

Together with the BBM (Federal Association for Workplace Mobility), we have completely reimagined the association’s digital communications. With a high-performance combination of Statamic and HubSpot, we’re bringing new energy to editorial, design, and member management.

The BBM is the nation's largest cross-industry network for corporate mobility. As an independent trade association, it serves as a strong voice for fleet and mobility managers in Germany.

Those who are driving mobility forward shouldn't be holding back on digital innovation

The BBM’s previous platform ran on the Contao CMS. The problem: The system and the design were outdated. The backend was inflexible, and it was simply too inefficient for the editorial team’s day-to-day work. They were looking for a solution that would give the association full control over design and content, professionalize its marketing, and at the same time simplify editorial workflows.

The Design: Everything in Motion

Mobility means change, dynamism, and progress. The new design exudes exactly that feeling in every detail. We have completely modernized BBM’s visual identity—from the typography and color palette to a fresh visual language.

Movement plays a central role throughout: in flowing color gradients, with scrollytelling, and variable image masks. As a visual foundation, we’ve developed a defining design element: the “Curve.” This dynamic curve runs throughout the entire page—sometimes in highlight modules, sometimes as a divider between sections, and sometimes as a striking image mask.

Technology: Two tracks are better than one

Instead of relying on a clunky, all-in-one monolith, we opted for a smart, two-pronged approach. The goal: to combine the strengths of two worlds without compromising on design.

For the public website, we rely on Statamic as a modern CMS, combined with a headless Nuxt front end. This ensures exceptionally fast, intuitive content management in the backend and maximum performance and flexibility in the front end.

We’ve fully integrated member management and everything that happens behind the secure login into HubSpot —the new hub for marketing and member communications. Of course, we’ve visually connected these two worlds to create a consistent brand experience for users.

A CMS for the association and a conference website

A particular highlight of the project is the integration of NaKoBeMo® (National Conference on Workplace Mobility) into the CMS. Instead of running a separate website for the conference, we are using Statamic’s multisite structure.

This means that a single CMS manages multiple websites. News, speaker profiles, and event details can be flexibly displayed in completely different contexts without the hassle of copy-pasting. Update once, use everywhere. This not only saves a ton of time in day-to-day editorial work but also goes a long way toward reducing the team’s stress.

Thanks to a modular system, the editorial team now has all the tools at its disposal—from highly flexible marketing pages to traditional news and event layouts. Now we’re really ready to get going!
