WELT Pokal
A special regatta: captains of industry sailed around the world in 2006 on the Polish windjammer “DAR MLODZIEZY” and the Russian “MIR”. The daily newspaper “DIE WELT” was the head sponsor, and the PROJEKTBUERO designed the trophy.
The winning team had a heavy load to carry at the awards ceremony. The gold sphere, which includes an engraving of the regatta’s route, weighs nine kilograms (19.8 lbs). The routes and the winners of this annual event will be forever immortalized on the trophy.
